@chichilli: if you go check out my blog post, I explain some of the reasons that female condoms are worth using.  But the most important one for ass sex is that FEMALE CONDOMS ARE WAY LESS LIKELY TO TEAR.  Asses are tighter than pussies and don't self-lubricate, which causes trouble for male condoms.
