Just saw Iron Man 3( great fun after a slow start and best version yet), the new GI Joe( outrageous,not as off the wall as the first one, ignore the plot holes, lots of action and brings out the fighting skills and personal humor of the Rock and Bruce Willis--I can see a new series with them going forward).

Also I have seen Die Hard( good, not great or as intense as earlier versions, with delightful chemistry between the good guys and terrific action scenes in Moscow and elsewhere),The Hobbit( great start to a new 3 part series with fantastic characters and really evil opponents),Jack Reacher( darm good crime story with twists and turns),Les Miserables( so lyrical and wonderful and melodramatic in parts),Skyfall( James Bond is hot,muscled and hit hard over and over, worth seeing more than once, the bad guy is really bad), Looper ( dark, moody with two great male stars), Won"t Back Down ( parents and teachers fighting the education system), Expendables2 ( fun, corny, lots of old action heroes, the good guys finally win and make you feel great),Bourne Legacy( enough challenging action, start of a new series with this actor, I bet),Total Recall( much better than the original version) and Dark Knight Rising( this Batman movie successfully ended the 3 part series and leaves you open for the next ï lots of excitement, pain, thrills, atmosphere,high tech gadgets, evil and redemption)

Also, I have seen Spiderman ( loved it and a shy,muscular 26 year old who gains confidence--stay for the credits to see hint at the next one), Rock of Ages( Heavy Metal to the Max, based on a Broadway musical. Snow White and the Huntsman( the evil queen is really evil) Men in Black 3( loved it) I watched Dark Shaddows ( flat, inconsistent, blah), The Avengers(fun ,fast paced, great super heroes, crowded audience clapped at the end), Hunger Games( boring, long,takes over 1 hour to get to the contest and predictable)plus John Carter of Mars in 3D( great sci-fi, good yarn, hot hunk star,saw it 2 times, have the dvd),Ghost Rider(not as good as the first one but the twinkie scene is funny), Act of Valor( awesome military performances, real life Navy Seals, not Hollywood play acting).

Hobbies

Working out followed by long hot showers, being active plus reading, too, cooking for friends, chatting and playing with friends, surfing the net, traveling to see area historic and fun sites(including wineries, farmers" markets, neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops-I have cards at Starbucks and the E-Bar at Nordstrom), watching selected crime, sci-fi and cooking TV shows

Read City of Bones and City of Ashes and City of Glass and City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare ( fantasy, shadowhunters, vampires, werewolves, etc--a new type subject me). Finished Enemy of Mine by Brad Taylor( US guys try to stop terrorists who want to wreck a peace effort in the Middle East) and Killing Floor by Lee Child ( creator of Jack Reacher character) plus three other Jack Reacher novels, Last Man by Vince Flynn, The Panther by Nelson DeMille( terrorist tries to kill lots of Americans), Coup d"Etat by Ben Coes( hero is trying to stop a nuclear war), Black List by Brad Thor( a NSA internet like enemy is planning a US government overthrow). The other books I have read in the last year include: Phantom and Hawke by Ted Bell ( spy thrillers), Blue Like Jazz ( spituality by a young guy from Portland, OR), Kill Shot by Vince Flynn( action packed thriller set in Paris), plus three by Tom Clancy -Locked On, Against All Enemies and Dead or Alive, All Ten James Patterson"s Murder Mysteries Set in San Francisco plus Full Black and The Athena Project and One Tough Man by Brad Thor.
