I resisted anal, by the way, for the longest time, both giving and receiving... especially receiving.  When it finally happened though I kicked myself for holding out so long.  It didn't hurt a bit.  Quite the opposite.  I thought my head was going to explode!

Thanks for sharing that.  I'm glad things worked out for you.  I've known since an early age that I was attracted to both women and men but it can be complicated.  When I got married I figured that would be the end for me where men were concerned, though the attraction never disappeared.  When I got divorced I decided it was time to re-open that part of my life (no pun intended).  There was still some guilt and I've gotten over that.  We like who we like and we were made this way so it's all good.  Many people though, both straight and gay, don't quite get it.  I can't explain it.  I enjoy women but being with a man is just different.  And feelings do develop so I can't be one of those guys who scratches that itch with a line of hook-ups.  Yes, if I connect with someone and like them, I want to see them again... and again.  Anyway, I'm glad things worked out.  Happy humping!

Use the force, Kuhldude, use the force.  You read it right.  In your area, it's hard to just dive in.  Even if he WAS hitting on you, which it seems as though he was, too fast might scare him off.  He's from the area too and his defences might kick in.  Some light flirting back is the best bet.  Of course the whole girlfriend thing presents a whole new challenge in and of itself.  But that's another discussion.  Bottom line, follow your instincts.  Feel it out slowly.  If it's innocent, you'll know pretty quick.  If you're right, you'll know just as quick.
